The Fan Zone is the beating heart of The Gralloch, where you can follow the race, eat, drink and be entertained. And for those not riding it’s the place to be!
Once the riders have set off the first thing to do is watch the kids’ races taking place on the High Street, the young racers aiming to cross the same start line as the adults later in the day.
Then you can head into the Fan Zone where friends and family and everyone can follow live announcements on the action from out on the trails.
Origin Coffee will be there serving some of the best brews around, and if you fancy something a little stronger Stohk will serve their craft beers, including their gravel inspired UN-IPA-VED West Coast IPA.
You won’t go hungry either, Kim Kirk Foods will be there with their events team and a variety of produce to make sure no one goes hungry. And our friends at Masonic Arms and Murray Arms are both part of the Fan Zone too, and open for food and drink.
With retail stalls including Leisure Lakes Bikes and Fenwick’s Bike Products there’s plenty to do.
Then, as the race draws to a close race winners will be presented on the podium before live music as the sun begins to set.
But the Fan Zone opens long before then. The fun starts at 3pm Friday afternoon, when rider registration opens. Hang around and at 5.30 you can hear from some of our pro riders as they are presented on stage. There’s a chat from gravel encyclopaedia, author and adventurer, Markus Stitz and round the world rider Mark Beaumont at 6.30pm, and you can stay for food and a couple of beers too!
So don’t just come and ride, come and make a weekend of it!
